Since 2010, Reach-U has been developing satellite remote sensing services to provide wide range of applications for environmental monitoring.

As Estonia is a cooperating partner of the European Space Agency (ESA) under the Plan for European Cooperating States (PECS), Reach-U has had the opportunity to be the largest private institution in the Baltic States to fulfil ESA’s PECS R&D contracts.

​Developed applications combine optical and radar remote sensing data products that include software tools for flood detection and real-time civil warning system, subsidence monitoring, land cover mapping, logging and storm damage detection, forest change detection and biomass estimation.
