Zone Provisioning Server (ZPS)

Location Based Charging (LBC) optimizes revenue and provides a competitive advantage to mobile operators, as different tariffs can be applied to calls made in predefined areas. ZPS is an off-the-shelf positioning and provisioning module for the LBC solution.

ZPS GUI administrative backend provides the following key features

• Management of public and shared zones
• Service area management on a map
• Admin tools for all provisioning activities, subscription packages and pricing
• Provisioning MSISDN in ZELS, HLR and charging systems
• Generating charging events for zone creation and modification activities.

For operators clients it enables to provision zones wherever they want. For example they can provision during vacation time their summer house to be the home zone and make cheaper calls.
